Andrew Good Bio
Andrew has spent the last 10 years as a MLB pitcher after being drafted in the 8th round (50 total rounds) by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 1998 draft. Soon after he won the Diamondbacks organizational player of the year. Good went 4-2 for the 2003 D-backs who finished the season 84-77. During a brief stint with his hometown Detroit Tigers, including an appearance before family and friends at Comerica Park, Good held batters to a .211 batting average striking out 7 in 4 innings.
His skill and background obviously make him a legitimate instructor but that's not his most impressive trait. Ask anybody that played with, faced or even met him going back to his reign over the North Oakland Baseball Federation, MHSAA, minor and major leagues and you'll hear the same thing about Andrew Good–the person. Good is the epitomy of humbleness which enables him to relate and teach little league players up through prep stars.
While playing for Rochester High School, he made his mark on the MHSAA record book:
- 24 consecutive Wins (6th best all-time)
- 37 career Wins (9th best all-time)
- 0.50 ERA (70 1/3 innings – 1997 season)
